Live & Die

motherbabywrapped fingers

Softly the little finger wraps

Tenderness cradles the fragile

Breath so sweet with breast

Eyes searching for the familiar

A beating heart starts to live

Unaware he is someones world

His life in the hands of another

Innocence held against the skin

Purity vowed to be protected

Creation of a bond like no other

Purpose and meaning

One love to live and die for
