It wasn't that long ago I was wiping sticky fingers off my truck windows and crumbs from the back seat. Now I find myself cleaning dog drool and sand from all windows and surfaces. Times have changed but the chores have not.
This baby face I have never kissed but know so well as it is one I grew up alongside and then again held as my own.
Like a dream, she walked from the water and sat down beside me. No words were spoken. Only a single tear and the haunt in her eyes told me all I needed to know.
It is always a treat when my daughter comes home to visit. She brings her 'children' with her so they can join us for some beach time run and romp sessions.
