Life

Sweet chaos ringing in your ears

Once a staple in a home built for two

Occasional rumble is all that’s left

Daily life ran ragged the hands that held

Seeing yesterdays value in todays vacant rooms

Breathing air that sits dormant

Longing to feel alive again

Needing to be needed

Wanting to know your worth

The hurt

The pain

The love

The laughter

The tears

The anger

The memories

The future

The here and now

Whispers of sweet words fade

Fulfilled dreams cradle the broken ones

Confusion clouds failing visions

Learning so much only to know nothing

When we write to heal such feeling infuses the words. This is lovely.

  3. That last line sums up the plight of many. We have cognition, but little intuition.
