In a world full of chaos and the celebration of hate and anger, one can find goodness among the pain if they look through the distraction.
Did we lose hope?
Did we lose faith?
Did we accept defeat?
Did we accept a single reality?
When did ugly become commonplace?
When did beauty become extinct?
The answers lie deep inside a hidden truth.
I can see all these things we think have been extinguished. They are still alive and thriving, just over shadowed by its enemy. Sometimes it is hard to see what has been cast in a corner littered with debris. It is easy to assume that all within the border of dark is monstrous and dangerous. In fact, it is not.
If you look closely you will see a glint or sparkle of something reflect a bit of light that penetrates the darkness and illuminates something so radiant and beautiful. It will show you what was thought to be lost or destroyed is alive and well. It is thriving and connected within the spiderwebs of darkness.
Hope: Someone stops and helps another that has fallen…asking nothing in return, doing so because it is the right thing to do.
Faith: Someone sees another’s truth and holds their hand in acceptance…giving no judgement only support and love.
A tender touch wiping away tears of a stranger.
Generosity in moments of need.
Kind words to someone covered in scars.
Loving what has been deemed unlovable.
Giving never to gain. Caring for the lonely.
Being the voice of those that can not speak.
Using your strength for those that are weak.
Holding to your beliefs when they are being stifled.
Standing up in the face of adversity.
Compassion being shown among frenzied disregard.
Gentleness coinciding with brutality.
Two worlds parallel one another, they have always done so. Its an old cliché, Good vs Evil. Not necessarily in biblical verse but in humanitarian terms. As in, doing the right thing because it matters for which way the pendulum swings.
In which world do you reside?
A dark barren existence or the one with light and life
Absolutely love this Noellie! I believe I live in love, light, and life. I see those same qualities in you too!
