Shades

Look past the shades your eyes see and let your heart show all the colors of the canvas.
turtle skullAt first glance, I’m sure your instincts are to recoil at such a picture that represents death. I find it fascinating and beautiful. This large turtle skull lived decades, possibly a century, swimming the waters of our world. It witnessed things we could never fathom or ever read in a book. It defended its self from predators and became one when hungry. It either laid hundreds of eggs in its lifetime or help to ensure their future species. The turtle, considered the oldest of the living reptiles, first evolved around 200 million years ago. Do not feel pity or revulsion  for something that has and will out live us all. Be in awe and wonder struck by the colors of life surrounding this shaded skull.

If you do not look past the shades then you will most definitely lose out on witnessing the most beautiful and unique colors of a canvas.
