Winds in a Willow

Hidden well within a weeping willow tree I see you wave

Betrayed by the winds of your own heart my view is quite clear

Burnt Rope

Hands from your abyss sharpened its blade

Cut its last thread clinging to the edge

Faded Petals of an Oak

Many rings in his limbs twisted with time gently hold

Collected faded and fallen petals of his rose

Butterfly Bouquets

Catching the tears that fall from a storm

When her basin is full and begins to overflow

From sadness a garden of flowers she makes grow

Hands of Time

Was loving and protective

Knew hate and caused harm

A Pane Apart

You’re staring through the window pane

Blind to me, I’m not yet to be

His Amazing Grace

He began to tell me his story and it started with “Amazing Grace” his beautiful bride of 70 years. He never spoke of himself again, only her.

Flawless Hands

The two have formed one not knowing how to live without the other

A Wildflower

You were there, I saw you standing in the back
