Gliding wings feed on its generous bounty
Sustaining life to feet foraging the muddy banks
Dormant Heartbeats
Memories of dreams and playful hearts lay dormant under a blanket of ivy.
Waking
Renewing a consciousness deafened by din
Morning dew
Delicately touching its splendor to bathe in reflective pearls of quenching dew
Whispering vines
As a canopy spread over delicate leaves
wilting growth reached for speckled light
finding its way through

This baby face I have never kissed but know so well as it is one I grew up alongside and then again held as my own.
Beach beauties
Its a strange mix of emotions that stir inside of me when I walk alone listening to laughter that still lingers in the blowing reeds and lapping waves.
Cobbled with barbs
Forced to take a road you never saw
Cobbled with barbs and a broken heart
Fully fledged
Holding tight to the porcelain edge
Wishing to be the eagle upon my chest
Wings spread and fully-fledged
